August 2021 Reading goals ✅
August WAS a so-so reading month for me. My issues with reading during the pandemic continue to keep me from truly escaping into my books and enjoying them. I just feel like I can’t find my reading groove.
I didn’t meet all of my August 2021 monthly goals since I did not read all of my bookclub selections. 🤷🏽♀️
📍LGBT reads: I did listen to Southern Comfort by Skyy (f-f) who is also a BiPOC author. Perfect on Paper by Sophia Gonzales was probably my favorite read of the month. The heroine was bisexual, but she reminded me of my daughter who always thinks she’s grown at 14. I can’t wait to discuss it with my daughter.
📍I read 5 books like BiPOC authors
📍Brown Nipple Challenge: I already read the Dating Plan by Sara Desai earlier in the year
📍My Bookclub reads:
💠 @lustylunchers: Heat Wave by Karina Halle
💠 @_cocktailsandconversations_: The Motolov Obsession Duet by Anna Zaire’s and Mr. Weston by Whitney G.
✌🏾Peace out August 🤛🏾 😘
